Code of Conduct
Code of Conduct
With regard to labor practices, wages and working conditions, Legacy Athletic
has always held itself to a high standard. Legacy is an Enhanced Category C member of the Fair Labor
Association ("FLA") and has adopted the FLA’s
Code of Conduct,
which comprehensively
addresses labor practices, wages, and working conditions in effect at apparel manufacturing
facilities. Legacy sources from only a few factories so that we can establish very
close working, long-term relationships with our subcontractors and ensure that they
meet or exceed the standards set forth by the FLA.

Moreover, we understand and agree with the public's concern over "sweat shop" issues.
Therefore, when the Company decided in 2000 to begin procuring its headwear overseas,
we specifically rejected countries like Bangladesh, Burma and Indonesia, which have
a poor history of labor practices. Instead, we chose Taiwan, which has a democratically-elected
government and labor laws that protect workers rights (i.e. a minimum wage that
is a “living wage”, the right to organize and collectively bargain, prohibitions
against forced labor and child labor, etc.).
With regard to our own employees, we strive to be a “preferred employer” by making
work fun and rewarding as opposed to “just a job”. Legacy’s compensation package
is as good as or better than others doing similar work in our area. In addition,
we offer a generous profit sharing plan, health insurance, a 401(k) retirement savings
plan with a company match, and paid personal days, holidays and vacation days to
all eligible employees. We believe it is our duty to provide our
employees with
a safe workplace and, accordingly, our working environment provides comfort, orderliness,
and safety.
