Company History
Celebrating our 15th anniversary this year, Legacy Athletic was founded in 1992
to provide cap lovers with the
ultimate low-crown wool baseball hat that replicated the classic styling
and uncompromising attention to detail of yesteryear. Out of this quest for the perfect-fitting
cap, Legacy has evolved to become one of the leading suppliers of not only high-end headwear, but also accessories for the collegiate,
resort and camp markets. Our sole focus is on headwear and accessories, which means
that – unlike apparel companies
who merely offer a few hats as an add-on to their main line – we are constantly tracking headwear and accessory
trends, developing new styles and graphics, and fulfilling our commitment to quality
and timely delivery.
It is our passion.

Legacy is a “full-service” headwear and accessory company that offers dozens of
styles in a wide array of colors including: adult, women’s and children’s baseball caps; true
fit and stretch fit caps; visors and bucket hats; polar fleece and knit headwear,
jewelry, belts and flip flops.
With our renowned fit and wide selection
of styles, Legacy has set itself apart from the competition. Of course, our cap and accessories would
not be complete without the right logo on it and that’s why Legacy is also admired for
its clean, all-American designs and high-quality embroidery and printing. Using
our experienced team of in-house artists, digitizers and embroidery technicians,
Legacy is able to offer numerous innovative embellishment options beyond just basic
embroidery including foam (3-D) embroidery, multi-media combinations, “aged” vintage
thread, felt lettering and appliqués, fashion fabric appliqués, and tea-stained
“trucker” patches. And, because all of our graphics are customizable, each retailer
can create their own look that is different from the competition and highly unique.
As we look back on Legacy’s 15 years in business, we are amazed at how much we’ve
changed in terms of our product diversity and styling, but one thing that hasn’t
changed much is the close relationship we share with our customers. And for that
we are extremely grateful because that is undoubtedly the very best part of being
in the collegiate, resort and camp markets – forming long-lasting and fulfilling
relationships with our customers. We look forward to what the next 15 years will
bring!
